MEET THE FOUNDERS
Red Theory Design was founded by Daniel Whitfield and Sheba Kwan, bringing together two distinct but complementary perspectives: technical expertise and creative design. After decades working alongside homeowners, architects, builders, and design professionals, both recognized the same challenge: many residential projects treated technology, lighting, architecture, and interiors as separate conversations rather than parts of a unified experience.
Drawing upon their combined backgrounds in residential technology, luxury construction, and interior design , they established Red Theory Design to bridge that gap. The goal was simple: create environments where every element of a home works together seamlessly, both functionally and aesthetically.
Today, Daniel and Sheba continue to lead the firm collaboratively, combining technical precision with design vision to create residential environments that are thoughtful, personal, and deeply integrated.

Daniel Whitfield is the Co-Founder and Technical Director of Red Theory Design, bringing more than two decades of experience in residential technology, private cinema, and integrated design. Known for his ability to simplify complex challenges, Daniel works at the intersection of technology, architecture, and user experience, developing solutions that are both highly functional and thoughtfully integrated within the home.
Throughout his career, Daniel has collaborated with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and builders on a wide range of residential projects, helping guide technology, entertainment, and infrastructure decisions from concept through completion. His approach is grounded in the belief that technology should support the experience of a space rather than define it, creating environments that are intuitive, reliable, and designed to stand the test of time.

Creative Director - Founder
Sheba Kwan is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Red Theory Design, leading the creative vision behind the firm's residential environments, private cinemas, lighting designs, and curated product collections. With a background in design, visual communication, and creative development, she brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to every project, balancing aesthetics, materials, lighting, and atmosphere to create spaces that feel both purposeful and personal.
Working closely with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and builders, Sheba guides projects from initial concept through design development, ensuring every detail contributes to a cohesive and meaningful experience.
